Not good today

Little Ben stopped passing urine 9 hours ago, his potassium levels are rising which is a bad sign. The doctors say he is unlikely to survive. They have been tremendous but they say Ben is pretty certain to have severe brain damage after having the surgery on his intestine and kidney shutdown, so it is perhaps better that he goes. We are so sad and emotionally drained
We are going over to India next week to be with him and Zac and work out where to go from here.

  2. Oh, Sam, and Phil, I am so sad to hear this news. I am thinking of you and little Ben all the time.

(Sam, if the worst happens and you need to talk to someone about life after babies, my sister Emma had a similar experience with the loss of a premature newborn).
